Tony Blair and George W. Bush meet today. Blair has been pressured by his own party to call in his favors in Iraq with Bush to get him involved in the Middle East peace process. It's thought that Bush is in a position to put his own pressure on Israel to ease off on plans in the West Bank thereby giving a chance to moderate Palestinian leadership to act.
Europe wants the peace process to begin again and many think that Yasser Arafat's death is an opportunity for that. I'd like to see Blair and Bush collaborate on something that doesn't make their noses grow this time. Still, they deserve the satire for being let off the hook for their huge mistakes in Iraq.
